WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla., Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Homes for Our Troops (www.homesforourtroops.org), a national non-profit organization dedicated to building specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans, will hold a two-day build brigade in Wesley Chapel, FL on September 28-29, to begin construction of a home for?Army Staff Sergeant Joseph Beimfohr.
The Build Brigade begins with a ceremony Friday, September 28 at 8:30 a.m. Following the opening event, the first wall will be put in place, signifying the official start of construction. Weekend activity is expected to include framing, siding, and roofing along with installation of windows and doors. Interior and finishing work will be completed in the following months. The home will provide Beimfohr with maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.
Beimfohr was on his first deployment in July 2005 when he lost both of his legs in an IED blast near Baqubah, Iraq. He looks forward to recovering in a home built to accommodate his needs, providing him with more freedom and independence. ?
